Allen

Allen Public Library

The 54,000 square foot Allen Public Library and Civic Auditorium facility is located in the heart of the developing Central Business District. The library has an extensive collection of books, recordings, videos, art prints, and periodical subscriptions. Services include public internet workstations, interlibrary loan, continuous book sale, and film/video borrowing from the Northeast Texas Library System. Meeting rooms are available for limited use by the public. On-site coffee shop is also available in gallery lobby.

Celina

Alla Hubbard Library

The Alla Hubbard Library is located at the high school campus and is available to students, teachers and the Celina community. The library includes a reference section with various encyclopedias, dictionaries, college information and test preparation guides. Resources also include computer workstations with internet access and various software programs and online research databases.

Farmersville

Charles J. Rike Memorial Library

The Charles J. Rike Memorial Library is offers a broad collection of books, audio books, and videos. Additional services include public computers with internet access, a genealogy section, inter-library loan, a copier, printers, fax machine, and typewriter. The library also contains several artifacts about Audie Murphy including stands of photographs, newspaper clippings, drawings, and other information.

Frisco

Frisco Public Library

Located in the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center in Frisco, the Frisco Public Library offers an extensive collection of materials including bestsellers, juvenile and young adult materials, audio books, DVDs, magazines and newspapers, and Spanish Language books. Public internet access workstations, free wi-fi, interlibrary loan, full text databases, and online resources are also available. Kids can enjoy an entire floor devoted to them, and the teen room is a popular destination for young adults ages 12-18. While browsing for books, consider enjoying a latte fresh from the library’s café.

Preston Ridge Campus Library (Collin College)

The Preston Ridge Campus Library is one of three libraries in the system of Collin College Libraries. The Library services and materials are available to Collin College students, faculty, staff, and residents of Collin County. McKinney

Hall Memorial Library

The Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library is one of two libraries in the McKinney Public Library System and is located two blocks north of the downtown square. This library offers a wide variety of materials and services including genealogical resources, a Spanish language collection, research databases, interlibrary loans, DVDs, and downloadable audio and ebooks.  Public internet workstations and Wi-Fi service is also available.

John and Judy Gay Library

The John and Judy Gay Library is one of two libraries in the McKinney Public Library System and is located across from Evans Middle School. This library offers a wide variety of materials and services including an extensive youth collection, research databases, interlibrary loans, DVDs, and downloadable audio and ebooks.  Public internet workstations and Wi-Fi service is also available.

Melissa

Plano

The Maribelle M. Davis Library is one of five community libraries in the Plano Public Library System offering reading materials, reference services, database searching capabilities, and children’s and young adult programming activities. The Library also features a large Children’s Section, with a hand painted castle entrance to the Storytime Area, state-of-the-art automated Reference and Circulation services, and Program and Conference Rooms. Public internet access workstations and interlibrary loans are also available.

Gladys Harrington Library

Special collections include Spanish language materials and a New Adult Reader Collection. The Literacy for Life program, which will be offered through the Summer of 2009, is based here. The Schimelpfenig Library is one of five community libraries in the Plano Public Library System offering reading materials, reference services, database searching capabilities, and children’s and young adult programming activities, including the very popular Summer Reading Programs. The circulating collection includes compact discs, DVDs, and audio books. Reference materials include VERNON’S TEXAS CODES ANNOTATED and UNITED STATES CODE ANNOTATED. Patrons have access to the library catalog, Internet, Microsoft Office and database searching on library terminals.

The Rita and Truett Smith Public Library offers a variety of resources and materials, including four public internet access computers, a copier, equipment checkout, magazine checkout, phone renewals, preschool story time on Wednesdays, and a Summer Reading Club. An interlibrary loan service is available for the Library to request materials from other libraries for patrons. Electronic resources are available in the Library and through the Texas State Electronic Library. Additionally, there is a program room in the Library that can be reserved.
