National Influenza Vaccination Week December 3rd to the 9th, 2017

Disease prevention is the key to public health. Vaccines work to protect infants, children and adults from illnesses and death caused by infectious diseases. Vaccines can help save lives by preventing diseases in the people who receive them and protect those people from those in the surrounding community who are unvaccinated, according to the National Immunization Program from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Our Services

Adults and children can receive regularly scheduled immunizations at Collin County Health Care Services as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Adults receiving vaccinations and adults requesting vaccination(s) for a child are required to present a valid picture ID prior to receiving immunization services.

A complete shot record is required to obtain immunizations at our clinic for children up to 18 years of age; a school note alone is not sufficient.

Individuals 18 years and older do not need to be accompanied by another adult in order to receive vaccinations.

The Texas Vaccines For Children Program (TVFC) provides vaccines to health departments to administer to eligible children and is offered by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. It is designed to improve the quality and longevity of life by achieving and maintaining a vaccine preventable disease-free environment. While it is impossible to put an exact dollar figure on the savings through the use of these vaccines, consider what it would cost without this preventive care program offered by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services. Collin County Health Care Services offers outreach immunization services throughout the county.

Texas Vaccines for Children Program is available for all providers in Texas who would like to participate. If you are not a Texas Vaccines for Children Program Provider or would like more information regarding the program; please contact the Healthcare Coordinator.

Collin County Health Care Services is dedicated to promoting the Texas immunization registry ImmTrac which is provided as a free service by the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS). ImmTrac is a confidential registry designed to consolidate immunization records from multiple providers and store immunization information electronically in one secure central system. ImmTrac offers physicians and other healthcare providers and authorized users' easy online access to immunization histories. The registry is part of a state wide initiative to increase vaccination coverage levels for children, adolescents, and adults across Texas. With written consent, the ImmTrac registry receives vaccination information from private and public healthcare providers across the state including input from the Vital Statistics Unit of TDSHS, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) clinics, Medicaid, the Texas-Wide Integrated Client Encounter System (TWICES), health care plans, and school nurses. ImmTrac records from participating physicians or local health departments.

Prices for children's vaccines under the Texas Vaccines for Children program are not listed because they are based on a sliding scale up to $14 per shot per child and based on eligibility requirements. If you are insured or an adult please refer to our vaccine price list. Payment by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard will be accepted. All other vaccine prices are subject to change and may be higher or lower depending on the availability of vaccines. Requests for copies of immunization records are $5.00.

To obtain vaccination schedules for children and/or adults, visit the Texas Department of State Health website or consult with your primary care doctor.
