Facility includes meeting rooms, programming rooms with kitchen facilities, game room, crafts room, weight/fitness club, full service gymnasium, two racquetball courts, video games, shower and locker facilities, basketball, volleyball, adult softball and flag football leagues.

The recreation center is a 10,000 square foot multi-purpose facility with activity rooms, game room, gym with hardwood floor and a unique 8000 square foot covered sports pavilion. The adjacent park facility features a barrier-free playground, two picnic pavilions, hike/bike trail, native plant area, basketball court, parking and picnic areas.

McKinney Youth Sport Associations
The youth sport associations in McKinney are independently run by elected boards as determined by annual elections. The associations administer their particular sport according to their own established by-laws or those established by their national and/or state affiliation.

McKinney Soccer Association
Offers Spring and Fall recreational soccer leagues for youths (ages 4-19) and adults. Fall registration opens June 1st and games are played in September and October. Spring registration opens December 1st and games are played March-May.

Towne Lake Recreation Area
1405 Wilson Creek Parkway
Includes a 22-acre lake, lighted hike/bike trails, two picnic pavilions, restroom/concession services, playground, two sand volleyball courts, nine lighted horseshoe courts, fishing pier, paddle boat rentals, six lighted recreation softball/baseball fields and parking. Park is barrier-free and handicapped accessible. Call 972-542-4865 for paddle boat rentals and concessions.

Erwin Park (Mountain Bike Trail)

W. B. Finney Park

Features two soccer practice fields, two playgrounds, one multi-purpose court, two baseball fields, a hike/bike trail, a picnic area with pavilion and lighted parking.

Provides two lighted ball fields, a basketball court, playground, restroom/concession facilities, and the Juanita Maxfield Swim Center, an outdoor swimming pool featuring zero-depth play area, diving area, bath house and concessions.
