Offices Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday: All county offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and Friday, Nov. 24, for the holiday. This includes parks offices, public works, courts and all other administrative offices. Offices will re-open Monday, Nov. 27.

Public hearings, budget approval set for upcoming fiscal year

Collin County Commissioners Court will hold two public hearings in the coming weeks as part of its approval for the county property tax rate, and final approval of the upcoming Fiscal Year 2017 budget.

The first public hearing is set for Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the Commissioners Courtroom, 4th floor, 2300 Bloomdale Rd., in McKinney, starting at 1:30 p.m. The second hearing will take place at the same location and time on Sept. 12.

The FY 2017 budget is expected to be adopted at the Sept. 19 Commissioners Court meeting.

The public is invited to attend – and comment – at all of these meetings. We will also live stream each of the meetings here. Officials have posted a number of tax rate and budget documents for public viewing. The agendas and background documents for the meetings can also be viewed here.
