Some important dates related to the November General Election

Just so you know, the Nov. 6, 2012, General Election is just around the corner, but some important dates and deadlines are a little closer on the electoral horizon:

• Oct. 9, 2012: The last day to register to vote in the November election. You can check your current registration here, or get a registration form online here;
• Oct. 30, 2012: Last day to request to vote by mail (also, you can get general absentee voting information here);
• Oct. 22-Nov. 2, 2012: Early Voting period. Go here for a list of early voting locations; and,
• Nov. 6, 2012: Go here for a list of Election Day voting locations.  

If you’d like to view sample ballots before the excitement begins, our Elections Department just posted the ballots (by precinct) online.
